When you have to apply to approve your site for some advertizement company like (google adsence ,h12 media etc) will then give you a verification code and said to you to add this code to your website header which is just like this.

here is the question where is the site <head> located and how to you put the code for varification
this is very simple method to add this code to <head> section.
For blog
go to tamplate then click on edit sarch for <head> paste the code after it save changes.For wordpress.
- Login to your admin panel.
- In wordpress sites in admin panel on left side is is a section named "appearance" to go that section.
- There is a sub group named "editor" click on it.
- look on right side search for header click on it
- Then you have to search for word <head> which may in 2nd or third from upper side.
- Paste your code after <head> tag and update file
- Came back to webmaster tool account and click on verify. thats it you have done.
Second method is by google webmaster tools.
The wordpress plugin ALL ON ONE WEBMASTER let you to verify your website.
- Log in to your webpress dashboard
- Click on plugins under appearance.
- On lugin screen click on add new
- Search for the ALL IN ONE WEBMASTER
- Then look same name in search results
- Then click on install now
- Click on OK button
- After installation activate the plugin
- Go to google webmaster tool account and select method TO ADD METATG TO YOUR SITE HOME PAGE.
- It will given you a code similar to given above
- Came back to wordpress dashboard and go to settings and click on ALL IN ONE WEBMASTER
- Paste the verification code in google webmaster centrel
- If you have bing and yahoo also then paste their coresponding codes otherwise leave blank
- Scroll down and click update option
- Then again go back to google webmaster tool account and click on verify button.
